Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS)

Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS)

The Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS) activity offers funding for participants to implement recognized energy management systems (EnMS), including ISO 50001-compliant and ISO 50001-certified systems.

An EMIS provides a framework for systematically managing energy, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. Eligible systems must provide energy data to all levels of the organization, have top management’s commitment, and designate an energy manager. Participants will be able to plan, make decisions, and take actions to optimize energy use, to your own targets and standards set by programs like 50001 Ready Canada or Superior Energy Performance.
