ERA is Now Accepting Applications for External Reviewers to Take Part in Future Project Evaluations

Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) is expanding its roster of expert external reviewers by establishing a list of individuals with strong qualifications and expertise in science, engineering, business development, commercialization, financing, and greenhouse gas (GHG) quantification.

ERA’s newest funding opportunity, the $50 million Tailings Technology Challenge, is aimed at helping reduce and manage mine water usage and tailings, so we now have a need for additional expertise to bolster our external reviewers’ roster. Specific to this new Challenge, ERA is inviting applications from individuals with broad expertise in water treatment, tailings remediation, and land reclamation technologies and processes relevant for Alberta oil sands operations.

ERA’s expanded investment focus beyond GHG emissions means future project proposal evaluation teams will need individuals with expertise in agriculture and environmental science. We encourage individuals with expertise in such areas as alternative fertilizers, regenerative agriculture, and air quality management to also consider applying to our RFQ.

All external reviewers on ERA’s roster will be considered for future project proposal evaluation teams. A detailed Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is now available and outlines the scope of work, requirements and qualifications, areas of focus, and more.
