AltaLink’s Emissions Reduction Alberta proposal is to complete preliminary development studies for a transmission battery energy storage system (BESS) facility in support of technical and economic evaluations. This work advances BESS functional use-cases in support of grid reliability, affordable electricity, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
