Backroads Reclamation is building Alberta’s first industrial-scale infrastructure for transforming construction and demolition (C&D) waste into specification-ready reclaimed wood products. Through systematic deconstruction and standardized processing, Backroads is scaling to divert thousands of tonnes of reusable timber from landfills annually, reducing greenhouse gas emissions while creating reliable supply chains for manufacturers and builders. This infrastructure directly supports urban densification, ESG procurement targets, and manufacturing supply chains, establishing Alberta as a leader in the circular economy for the built environment.
