Hydrovac Waste Solutions Ltd. (HWS) developed an innovative process to upcycle slurry generated during hydrovac operations. Funded through ERA’s Circular Economy challenge and announced in 2023, the proposed project aimed to scale up the technology, which turned the hydrovac slurry into raw materials for cement production, landscaping and construction. The funding relationship was ultimately cancelled in 2025.
