Expand a waste-to-energy gasification technology from pilot to full capital project in able address the rapid over-filling of several municipal landfills in the Peace Region while producing carbon-negative energy. PRWMC is a consortium created to address the issue. They have recently completed a 3-year pilot of the technology. The technology could reduce waste volumes by 85% and reduce municipal solid waste disposal costs by 23-25%. The expanded capacity would enable 24-hour operation and service other communities with waste disposal issues. The full-scale expansion would reduce landfill methane emissions over the next 7 years by 22.3 MT. Many communities are monitoring the project as a potential model for rural waste management
