SeeO2 Energy Inc., a Calgary-based company, is pioneering solutions to transform greenhouse gases into valuable building blocks for industry. Their technology uses reversible solid oxide fuel cells (RSOFCs) to enable efficient high-temperature electrolysis. By converting CO2 and H2O into hydrogen, carbon monoxide, or syngas, this project supports cleaner processes across steel, plastics, utilities, energy, and chemical industries. A key part of the system is the contact paste material (CPM), which improves the electrical connection between cell components and reduces energy losses. Traditional CPMs rely on precious metals like gold or platinum. The primary objective of this project is to develop and validate a cost-effective CPM, utilizing abundant metal oxides and perovskites. The CPM will be integrated into SeeO2’s innovative electrolyser pilot system.
