The project uses Ekona’s novel methane pyrolysis technology which produces low carbon intensity hydrogen from methane. It will be used in on-site gas plant operations including power generation. A reduction of 4,600 tonnes per year of GHG can be realized using existing gas plant infrastructure plus methane pyrolysis to generate up to 2 t/d of hydrogen. The location provides excellent potential to scale up over time.
